On-street recycling facilities
Blackpool Council has over 600 bins located in the town centre, business districts and residential areas. The bins come in a range of designs and colours, as we try to ensure the street furniture is in keeping with the area in which it is located.
Litterbins are emptied on a schedule that fits with their usage, and can vary from once a week to up to 3 times a week for busy and highly used sites.
In addition to our general waste bins Blackpool also has on-street recycling facilities that are located all over the town. These recycling bins take:
- Mixed glass bottles and jars
- Food and drinks cans
- Plastic bottles
- Newspapers, magazines, catalogues, general paper
