Do I need to bring anything with me to register a birth?
1. Bring your white discharge paper from the hospital or your midwife if you have it. You don't even need to bring your baby with you if it is inconvenient for you. We know the birth has taken place because the local Health Authority notifies us.
2. If you wish to purchase extra copies of your baby's birth certificate, then you need to bring some money or a credit/debit card with you. For our up-to-date certificate fees, click on 'Publications' then 'Register Office Fees.' You will be charged for a
Certified Copy Certificate at time of registration. Please Note: The fee for a birth certificate rises as soon as your appointment is over.
