We are located at the end of South King Street on the junction with Charnley Road. The office is set back from the road, down some steps. We are next to Housing and Social Services.
From Out Of Town From the M6, turn off at Junction 32 onto the M55 motorway. At the end of the motorway, continue on as it becomes a normal road.
Keep going straight onto Yeadon Way, following the signs for Blackpool’s Central Parking area. You will negotiate many mini roundabouts, but keep going straight on towards the Tower; you will pass Blackpool Football Club on your right and then the Coach Park on your left. A few minutes later and you will see Central Car Park ahead of you. Although the road bends 90˚ right, continue ahead over Chapel Street. At the mini roundabout at the end of the road, turn right. This brings you out onto Central Drive, just before Hornby Road. (See the bottom right of the map).
Turn left and follow the road around a right hand bend, going past MacDonald’s, Argos and the new Debenhams’s store to your left. At the traffic lights go straight on into Albert Road.
Near the top of the hill at Lang’s Bakery, turn first right into South King Street. The Register Office is located at the end of the road on the right hand side. Turn right into Charnley Road and you will find our car park on the right behind the office.
From The Promenade
Northerly approach - If approaching the Register Office from the north of the town, continue past Blackpool Tower to your left. Continue past Coral Island, the Sea Life Centre and then at Madam Tussaud’s Waxworks (just before Central Pier and the big wheel) turn left at the traffic lights onto Chapel Street.
Southerly approach - If approaching the Register Office from the south of the town, continue along the Promenade past the Solaris Centre and Pleasure Beach until you reach Central Pier and the big wheel. At the traffic lights turn right into Chapel Street.
Once in Chapel Street, stay in the left hand lane and at the next set of lights, turn left onto Central Drive. Continue ahead in the left hand lane and follow the road around a right hand bend, going past MacDonald’s, Argos and the new Debenhams’s store to your left. At the traffic lights go straight on into Albert Road.
Near the top of the hill at Lang’s Bakery, turn first right into South King Street. The Register Office is located at the end of the road on the right hand side. Turn right into Charnley Road and you will find our car park on the right behind the office.
From Victoria Hospital On exiting the Hospital site where A&E and Outpatients are to your left, turn right at the traffic lights onto East Park Drive. Stay in the left hand lane and at the roundabout, turn left onto Newton Drive.
Continue straight on past the No. 4 pub on your right and through the next set of traffic lights at Beech Avenue and Collingwood Avenue.
The next set of lights is Devonshire Square. Continue ahead onto Church Street past John Budd & Co. on the left. Go straight through the next two sets of traffic lights and when you see the Syndicate Nightclub ahead of you on the right, take the first left onto South King Street.
Part of South King Street is one-way, so you cannot drive all the way to the end, therefore turn first right into Adelaide Street at the Adelaide Street Surgery and then first left into Alfred Street. At the end of the road turn left into Albert Road.
As you go up the hill, turn first right at Lang’s Bakery into South King Street. The Register Office is at the end of the road on the right hand side.
Parking at the Register Office The Register Office car park is free and is located on Charnley Road. At the end of South King Street turn right into Charnley Road and you will see the car park on the right situated directly behind the Register Office.
If there are no available spaces, you can park on the surrounding streets for a fee. The charge is 1p per minute.
