DETERMINATION OF ADMISSION ARRANGEMENTS FOR BLACKPOOL SCHOOLS 2013/2014
The annual consultation on admissions to Blackpool Schools in September 2013 closed on 1st March 2012.
Blackpool Council’s Children, Adult and Family Services’ Admission Policy for determining admission to Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools was reviewed during this consultation period and the document may be viewed in the link 'Publications'.
Similarly, determined admission policies for Voluntary Aided and Foundation (Trust) Schools, Westcliff Academy and Montgomery High School, An Academy, Language College and Full Service School may be viewed in the link "Publications".
Determined Policies have been reviewed in accordance with changes to the February 2012 Admissions Code
APPLYING FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL PLACES The In Year Admission Form must be completed for all children arriving in Blackpool or transferring between schools. Once returned to the School Admissions Team, an allocation will be made. Go to the Forms section in related information to access the form and guidance notes.
| APPLYING FOR A PLACE IN RECEPTION AT PRIMARY SCHOOL FOR SEPTEMBER 2012 | If your child was born between 1st September 2007 and 31st August 2008, he/she should start school in September 2012. The closing date for applications was 15th JANUARY 2012.

APPLYING FOR A YEAR 7 PLACE AT SECONDARY SCHOOL FOR SEPTEMBER 2012
If your child is just starting their final year (Year 6) at primary school, he/she will be transferring to secondary school in September 2012. The closing date for applications was 31st OCTOBER 2011.

You should read the appropriate brochure before completing your application as it gives you information on the schools in Blackpool, how to apply for a place, what criteria will be used to allocate places and what to do if your preferences cannot be met.
You have to apply to your 'Home' Authority, so only apply here if you pay your Council Tax to Blackpool. If you pay your Council Tax to Wyre or Fylde Council, you need to apply online at www.lancashire.gov.uk/e-admissions.
