School Crossing Patrols

As part of Blackpool's 'Safer Routes to School' campaign, we are committed to ensuring that all children and adults crossing the road, whether outside schools or not, do so in a safe manner.  For this reason, school crossing patrols are provided at several locations in the town at certain times of the day.

STOP FOR SCHOOL CROSSING PATROLS

Under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, it is an offence not to STOP for a School Crossing Patrol Officer (Rule 87 of the Highway Code)

REMEMBER, even during school hours you should always drive carefully and be aware of children and adults crossing the road.

LETS MAKE THE ROADS SAFER FOR EVERYONE!
