Sexual Orientation: Community Engagement Groups
Blackpool Fylde and Wyre LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Trans) Forum. The forum is open to all members of the LGBT community. It started in 2006 with just a handful of members and now regularly attracts over 40 attendees to the laid back and informal meetings which are held at 6.30pm at Blackpool Town Hall on the second Thursday of every month .
Over the years, many diverse and interesting speakers have come to the Forum, professionals discussing, amongst other things:
- Council housing
- Benefit enquiries
- The Police and Fire Services
- Blackpool Master Plan; and
- even a talk from Special Branch!
