Asset Maintenance

The Council is making significant progress in delivering its maintenance strategy and is reducing the maintenance backlog due to our robust strategic property review process, condition surveys, capital investment and the ability to realise external grant funding. This includes planning and programming of when surveys are to be undertaken, liaising

with customers and using resources effectively, ensuring value for money requirements are met.
The implementation and development of the new Strategic Maintenance Strategy, as outlined in the ‘Land and Property Policy’, will ensure our continued progression towards delivering Services in a quality building.
We have a clear strategy on regulatory codes and legislation compliance for the Portfolio and this forms part of the ‘Portfolio Management Strategy’ document. This outlines the processes and practices to continually assess and audit the Portfolio to ensure it is safe and secure for employees, customers and guests of the Council.
