Partnership and Community Working

Partnerships are seen by the Council as integral to our ability to provide quality core services to the public and, by being involved with a wide range of partnerships; the Authority ensures the provision of suitable property and a quality asset management service, whilst retaining an intelligent client base.
The constraints of Blackpool being very densely populated, together

with the need to ensure flexibility of use, has created a challenge in obtaining suitable affordable property and every opportunity is therefore taken to working with other landowners and stakeholders.
The Council has a clear strategic approach to co-location with partners and stakeholders which has been developed over a number of years, providing for the needs of the community in a joined up way by pulling together a number of agencies within a single development/building, to deliver value for money and single point of access to public services. A current example is the Moor Park mixed use Health and Community Development; this includes Park, Library, Leisure and Health facilities.
