The Supported Living Service helps adults with a disability to live in their own homes. Care and support is given to meet their daily needs. The service aims to support individuals to achieve their full potential in all aspects of daily living, whilst promoting independence, choice and inclusion.
The service has a variety of housing to suit personal need and choice which includes:
- Single dwellings/flats.
- Shared housing.
- Specialist properties.
- Adapted properties.
These are all located throughout Blackpool A Social Work assessment determines an individual’s level of need and, as a result, care and support can be provided for up to 24 hours a day. The Supported Living Service provides support for ‘ordinary’ daily living such as:
- Home making skills.
- Personal care and support.
- Dealing with finances, paying bills, budgeting and shopping.
- Access to education, jobs and leisure.
- Access to advocacy services.
- Meeting spiritual beliefs and cultural needs.
- Access to services that meet all health needs.
We also offer extra support to people who are having particular difficulties in their daily lives. This service draws on the expertise of a range of professionals, so that a package of specialist support can be offered.
