What is Supported Lodgings?
Supported Lodgings is a scheme whereby an individual, couple or family offer a room in their home for a young person to live. Supported Lodgings aims to offer a safe and supportive environment and provide a bridge to being in care and living independently.
The scheme plays an important part in a young person's transition to adult life, where they can settle and be happy and at the same time, receive ongoing guidance and encouragement.
The Leaving Care Team also provide support to providers of Supported Lodgings as well as young people and can help in trying to resolve accommodation issues in order to maintain a placement.
Providers need to complete Accommodation Forms which can be downloaded from the 'Forms' area on the right.
