The Gambling Act 2005 provides for Temporary Use Notices and Occasional Use Notices.
A Temporary Use Notice (TUN) allows gambling activities to take place for a limited period of time in an otherwise unlicensed premises. Applicants must hold an appropriate Operating Licence, and a premises is restricted to no more than 21 days in any period of 12 months.
An Occasional Use Notice (OUN) replaces the need for a Premises Licence under the Gambling Act where track betting takes place, provided the betting is carried out on no more than 8 days per calendar year. |
