Watson Road Park

Watson Road Park Watson Road Park is a very popular door-step green located in south Blackpool, serving a large area in an affluent area of the town. The site is only half a mile from the famous Golden Mile and close to Blackpool's International Airport. Its core users are local residents. The site packs a punch in a small area, combining an attractive landscape with good quality sporting and recreational facilities. It is well loved by the local community and has enjoyed support for a number of years. The park was the first within Blackpool to be accredited with a Green Flag Award. It has retained this status for four consecutive years, attributing the efforts of the partnership between the Council and Friends Group.

The Parks Events Programme 2010 has now ended - however, the Ranger Service will be carrying out several walks from 21st Nov to 27th Feb 2011 to learn all about Long Eared Owls - you might even spot one of these elusive birds! See the publications section on the Ranger Service website for further details.
