Wheels for All is a project to get people of all ages, disabilities and differing needs riding bicycles. There is a wide range of cycles suitable for wheelchair users and/or people with disabilities to try out. Don't worry if you've never ridden a bike before or haven't for many years, or indeed thought that they were unable to ride because of a physical disability. You can have a go in a totally safe environment with trained members of staff to help and support.
Taster sessions and courses are designed to encourage disabled people of all ages to have a go at cycling by showing the range of cycles available so if you're unable to manage a two wheeled bike, for whatever reason, Wheels for All has a variety of equipment in different sizes to try.
Disabled children and adults can join in with their family and friends. The elderly can rediscover the pleasure of cycling. Those with learning difficulties can enjoy mastering a new skill Those who are temporarily disabled need not be inactive All will enjoy the experience and gain the health benefits of active exercise.
The cycles are easy to use and the qualified/trained leaders provide full instruction in using them so the cyclist has the freedom to go off exploring at their own pace and in their own time, helmets are available if required. Click here for an information leaflet (Opens in new window)
