Help Do you need help in making our site easier for you to use? This page explains how our site works and the ways you can change your computer settings to make information more accessible for you.

At the top of the page there are options for you to change font and colour by selecting 'Accessibility'. If you want to view the site in a Text Only format you can select this option at the top of the page.  You can also view the latest new features on our site using the “What’s New” area.

A brand new feature of our site is the ability to "Register" and "Log in”. Once you have registered your details with us, you will be able to log in to your own personalised area of the site where you can view your council tax balance, look at the next collection date for your recycled waste and report a problem online.

More new features will be added to this area of our site as it develops and registering your details will enable you to keep up to date with the latest council information.

At the left side of our homepage, you can see a menu which covers the main services which our council provide. This appears on every page on our site.

If you select one of the headings by clicking on it once or hover over it with your mouse, a second level menu appears which gives you more specific information options.

You can then select the topic you are interested in by clicking on the heading once and all the information on our site relating to that topic will be listed. Simply select the item you want to view.

At the top of the page you can also use our A-Z which lists all the services we provide in alphabetical order.

Alternatively, you can simply use our site search to find the information you want. Type in the word or words you want to search for in the search box then click once on the ‘go’ button. You will then be presented with the results page showing every topic which matches your search word(s).

On the right side of the homepage there is a menu which shows quick links to other related sites such as Tourism, Blackpool For Me and ReBlackpool.

The top search words are also shown to give you quick access to information.

The centre area of our homepage shows our ‘Do it online’ section enabling you to apply for services, report a problem, pay a council bill or search for forms online. This area helps you to help yourself.

At the bottom of the homepage, you can view the latest tide times and weather updates.
