Special health check ups for deaf residents are taking place.
The free check up sessions will be at the Solaris Centre on 8 February between 10am and 12pm.
Members of the deaf community are welcome to come along and have routine checks taken for blood pressure and Body Mass Index by public health staff from NHS Blackpool, with help from British Sign Language translators.
The check ups are regularly held to cater for the deaf community who may not be able to normally access suitable health check up services.
Cllr Kath Rowson, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care: “There are some people who do not feel like they can regularly get a check up because of their disability, so these sessions have been put on to make sure that they are especially catered for.
“Nobody should be missing out on important health checks just because they have a disability.”
