We’re working with Keep Britain Tidy, local residents and businesses along with visitors to reduce the amount of litter dropped in Blackpool.
Latest activities
Our latest campaign, “Don’t be a scruff, bin your stuff”, is now live with posters on display in bus and tram shelters in central areas and the Promenade.
The posters are intended to encourage people to use the many litter bins available in the area and remind beachgoers to help us look after our beautiful beaches by taking responsibility for their own litter.
Some of the other things we've done so far to keep Blackpool tidy:
- Adding more bins to the streets
- Introducing £80 litter fines
- Holding litter picking events
- Raising awareness to encourage more people to stop littering
How you can help – love where you live
Keeping our streets free from litter is everyone’s responsibility – the more people stop dropping litter, the cleaner our streets will be.
