By law, local authorities must be able to provide a commercial waste service to businesses within their authority. We need your information in order to carry out service collections, send out any relevant documentation and also receive payment for the service.
What is our lawful basis?
The lawful basis to collect and use your personal information is:
- Compliance with a legal obligation
- It is necessary for a contract you have, or because you have asked us to take specific steps before entering into a contact
What types of information do we collect?
Business name, address, telephone number, name of the owner or authorised signatory of the business and email.
Who do we share your information with?
We may share your information with our Enforcement Teams if required for their investigations. We will not share your information further unless if we are required to do so by law or ordered to do so by a court.
How long do we keep your information for?
Information is not kept for longer than necessary, as per our retention schedule.
