School games
Through the school games we're inspiring young people across the country to take part in competitive school sport.
By providing competition in different formats it makes competition more attractive and accessible for young people, and ensures they can all take part in competitive sport irrespective of their experience, talent or ability.

School activities
Sport Blackpool, sport and physical activity development team, are able to provide qualified sports coaches to deliver both curricular and extra-curricular programmes.
We pride ourselves on reputation for high quality and successful long standing delivery programmes within schools.
As well as providing specific delivery programmes the team works with schools to deliver Blackpool Youth Games every year, with over 2000 Blackpool children and young people taking part in a week-long festival of sport.
Alongside this schools are given the opportunity to engage in national programmes including school games, quality and kitemark awards, Change 4 Life, inclusive sport and the Blackpool Community Sports Awards.

Sport 4 champions
Sport 4 Champions is a fun physical activity and health awareness programme for Year 6 pupils that promotes the benefits healthy eating and physical activity. Sessions take place across a half term and features

- Agility challenge
- Individual and team sports
- Healthy lifestyles festival

Bikeability
A two day training course where pupils will learn to cycle safely on the road.
Children get the chance to complete their Level 1 and Level 2 awards through a series of challenges on school site before heading out onto the roads with our team of instructors.
Children receive certificates and badges as a reward for successfully completing the training courses.
