Care and support job opportunities

Our care and support service are expanding their workforce

Blackpool is a great place to work. We’re a small town with a big vision for our residents. If you're looking for a rewarding job where you can really make a difference, working with adults of all ages and needs, then a career in care may be the perfect fit for you!

Care and support roles

Depending on the role, you don’t always need qualifications or previous work experience to get a job in social care. What’s really important is having the right values, behaviours and attitudes to work effectively with people who need care and support.

You’ll work with people who need direct care and support, and you’ll be responsible for an individual’s overall comfort and independence. You could work in a residential or nursing home, in peoples’ own homes, or out in the community.

No two days are the same as a care worker, but the role often includes:

  • Supporting people with social and physical activities
  • Helping with personal care such as support with showering and dressing
  • Monitoring people’s health, for example by checking body temperatures and fluid intake
  • Helping people to live as independently as possible

We currently have a range of roles available, such as:

  • Day/Night assistant
  • Support worker
  • Respite/Rehab worker
  • Home carer

The service pride themselves on providing a supportive work environment, and there's a great team vibe. We want our people to enjoy working here; we encourage progression via a range of training and development opportunities, as well as a range of staff benefits and competitive rates of pay.
