It is highly recommended that users come workout ready and change and shower at home wherever possible. However changing rooms are available at Blackpool Sports Centre and Moor Park under the following guidelines (Palatine Leisure Centre changing is still closed):
Due to their size, dryside changing rooms are to only be used by users attending an individual health and fitness activity, such as the gym, exercise classes, climbing and the athletics track. They are not for use by those attending clubs, courses, team sports, or those wanting to use the changing rooms without attending an activity.
Please follow one way systems after an activity before using the changing rooms, even if this means having to exit and re-enter the building. If you have to leave the building, please check in again at reception to let them know you are using the changing room.
Where there are cubicles
Please use a numbered cubicle to change.
Please use the corresponding numbered locker to store items when showering and shower in the same corresponding numbered cubicle.
Where a cubicle is free when entering the changing room, please check that the same numbered shower is not in use before using the cubicle to change.
Where there are not cubicles
Changing areas will be marked with an Active Blackpool Blue Circle. Please stick to one household/support bubble per marked area. One locker will be available in each area for storing items when showering only. Available showers are spaced at least 2 m apart.
When entering the changing area, if a changing area looks free, please check that the marked locker for that area is open before starting to change in that area.
Changing room lockers are only to allow you to store items when showering. Please use in activity bag drops or gym/swimming lockers to store items when working out.
Spray and blue roll
The changing rooms will be cleaned regularly as per our covid cleaning procedures, however blue roll and spray is available in the dry side changing areas if you want to wipe any contact points for added peace of mind.
Please be respectful of others and attempt to limit your time in the changing rooms to no more than 15 minutes and leave the changing room in the condition you would expect to find it.
Disabled changing is available at all centres through the use of a RADAR key.
For the Athletics Arena, please let reception know at check in for your session if you require access to the Arena disabled toilet. The team will unlock this for the duration of your session.
