Managing Challenging Behaviour 

Supporting parents with children aged 0 to 18 years. 

The child/young person must meet at least one of the below:

  • Present with complex behaviours or behaviours which will benefit from input of the course
  • Have been referred onto a neurodevelopmental pathway (or equivalent) -
  • Have received (or is awaiting) a possible diagnosis of ASD/ADHD
  • Live in Blackpool - must be registered with a Blackpool or Fylde and Wyre GP Practice.

2 day course is 9.30am to 2.30pm 

Evening course is across 4 evenings from 6.00 to 8.00pm

Triple P Baby

Triple P for Baby is a group programme which aims to prepare parents for a positive transition to parenthood and throughout the first year of babies life. The main topics include teaching parents core skills in parenting their baby, taking care of their own well-being and maintaining positive relationships with supporting people. The programme is suitable for all parents with a baby from newborn to 1 year old. The babies are welcome within the group.

Triple P (2 to 12 years) Triple P is a group programme for families with children aged 2-12 years. The programme provides a range of strategies for building positive relationships with children and dealing with a range of childhood behavioural and emotional difficulties. The main topics include - why children behave the way that they do, helping children to develop, managing misbehaviour and planning ahead. Various dates  throughout the year. 9 week programme. Various times throughout the year.

 Triple P Teen Triple P Teen is a group programme which provides a range of strategies for building positive relationships with teenagers and dealing with a range of teenage behavioural and emotional difficulties. The main topics include – factors influencing teenagers behaviour, encouraging appropriate behaviour, managing problem behaviour and dealing with risky behaviour. Various dates  throughout the year. 9 week programme.  Various times throughout the year.

Being a Parent (An EPEC group, Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities)

The Being a Parent (EPEC) group has three groups per term.  It is delivered by Blackpool parents and is suitable for all parents of children under 12 years. The group aims to help parents develop their practical communication skills.  Key topics include: self esteem, dealing with feelings, understanding behaviour, listening skills and setting. Free childcare can be provided to attend the group.

Runs 8 times throughout the year.
