Culture within reach - get £29 tickets for Grand Theatre shows

Blackpool Grand Theatre is offering £29 tickets in a month-long summer sale celebrating the town’s City of Culture bid.

As Blackpool makes its case to become UK City of Culture 2029, the theatre is putting culture within reach of even more people, releasing a limited number of tickets for selected shows for just £29*.

The theatre has said its offer means Blackpool doesn’t have to wait until 2029 to widen access, welcome new audiences and help more people discover the shared experience of live performance. That work can begin with an invitation and an affordable ticket to the Grand today.

Running until 31 August, the sale allows people to book £29* seats for selected shows and performances at the Grand’s magnificent Matcham auditorium.

How to get your £29 tickets

To book these £29* tickets, visit blackpoolgrand.co.uk/SS29, select an included show and enter the promotional code SS29. The £29* price will appear at the final basket stage, and customers should check that the discount has been applied before completing payment.

The sale ends on 31 August, but individual ticket allocations could sell out considerably sooner.

“Blackpool’s bid to become UK City of Culture 2029 says something powerful about the town and its people. Culture is not an added extra here. It is part of Blackpool’s identity, its history, its economy and the way generations of people have come together. “But cultural ambition only means something if people can take part in it. Our Summer Sale is one practical way of opening the doors wider and making a night at this magnificent theatre more accessible. At £29, we hope people will take a chance on a show they might not ordinarily choose, bring someone who has not visited before or turn one planned night out into two. “This is a genuine opportunity, but it is deliberately limited. Every participating performance has a fixed number of £29 tickets and, once they have been booked, we cannot promise there will be more. If you see something you would love to experience, my advice is simple: do not leave it too late.”
