The government plans to replace the current two-tier system of district and county councils with new unitary authorities - single councils responsible for all local services.

Across Lancashire, five proposals for new council make-ups are being considered. You can read them on our website or on the Lancashire LGR website.

The survey runs until 26 March 2026.
