Blackpool Council no longer organise meals for Social Care Clients. Instead people are given advice about arranging their own meals and information about local providers. A list of local providers can be found in the Publications List on the right hand side of this page.
The changes give people more control over their own support. People have a choice about whether they have their meals delivered or if they prefer to arrange their meals another way – for example asking a family member to help or having frozen meals delivered from a supermarket. If they decide that having meals delivered is best for them they will be able to decide which provider to use. People will also be able to organise when they want their meals directly with their provider without having to contact the Council.
