Crisis and resilience fund - voluntary sector grants 2026 to 2027

Funded by UK GovernmentBlackpool Council has been allocated funding from HM Government’s Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) to support low-income households who encounter a financial shock and to enable individuals and communities to better deal with crises in the long-term, reducing crisis need.

The grant programme will support resilience services’ that contribute towards improving the financial resilience of individuals. Financial resilience refers to the ability of individuals to withstand and recover from financial shocks, such as sudden income loss or unexpected expenses. The purpose of building financial resilience is to enable individuals to better manage future financial shocks and reduce the need for crisis support.
The CRF grant application form should be referred to for full eligibility criteria and scheme guidance.

Funding programme

Bids are invited to provide resilience services in Blackpool. We are looking to grant fund organisations that support the objectives of the CRF.

Maximum award per organisation £50,000

This funding covers the period from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, with the possibility of extension beyond this date subject to satisfactory performance and available budget.

The closing date is 12 noon on Friday 17 April 2026. Late applications will not be considered. Request an application form by emailing crfgrants@blackpool.gov.uk

Best value principals
We have developed best value principals by bench marking average payments against previous awards

  • We do not expect to cover expenditure that is funded elsewhere
  • The cost of an adult meal should not exceed £6
  • The cost of a hot snack should not exceed £3.50

How we will decide

All applications will be reviewed and scored by a panel of council officers. They will take into account the following:

  • Comprehensive and clear proposal which meets all aspects of and demonstrates a good understanding of the criteria
  • Clear evidence of ability to deliver or meet the criteria
  • Proven track record
  • Applications will be benchmarked against other proposed projects
  • Applications may be accepted, rejected, or amended as considered appropriate
