Blackpool Council provides a range of adult learning and education courses and drop-in sessions for people living in Blackpool, aged 19 and above (learners must be over 19 by 1 August 2020).

Following the latest government guidance, we are now moving from face-to-face learning to online and flexible distance learning. Therefore, centres will be temporarily closed to learners.
However, your class will continue online. Your tutor will contact you shortly and explain how you can access learning resources and how you will be supported. These are some of the measures that your teacher will use to support you:
- Your tutor will contact you by text or email to tell you how to access online learning for your course and other ways that materials will be provided
- Your teacher will also email you class materials and presentations where an online option is not available to you or is not the best way to conduct your lessons
- You can contact your teacher via email for any questions you have
- If you have problems accessing materials online and if you don’t have access to the internet, teachers are preparing study packs that can be sent out to you
If you would like to contact your tutor or have any questions, please call 01253 478131 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to speak to a member of our admin team.
Please follow our Facebook page: Blackpool Adult, Community and Family Learning where useful information and resources are posted.
Family learning offers a range of courses for mums, dads, grandparents, carers and children. Some courses focus on families learning together, while others are for parents/carers only, with the emphasis on supporting the family.
Courses take place in over 20 venues across Blackpool including schools and children's centres.
We can also come to you. To find out more about hosting courses in your setting call 01253 478131 or 01253 478032.
Our Family Learning Team usually run workshops in Blackpool libraries during the school holidays. This year, they have teamed up with Blackpool Libraries online to offer families fun ideas of things they can do at home, linked to The Reading Agency's Summer Reading Challenge.
Families can get involved by signing up to the Silly Squad 30 Day Challenge at bit.ly/BFLSillySquad to receive their free resources and be entered into a prize draw to win a book token. The team will also be posting videos on our Facebook page every Wednesday, sharing ideas of activities to help families have fun and learn together.
See below for a list of courses that we provide - learners must have turned 19 on or before 1 August 2019 or call 01253 478131/01253 478032 or email email@example.com to request your free brochure.
Have you or a member of your family served in the Armed Forces? If so we offer Free places on our courses to veterans and their families aged 19 and above.
We now have a Facebook page - please search "Blackpool adult, community and family learning".
