Universal

• Access to key messages promoting positive interaction from the peri-natal stage
• Brazelton Newborn Observation/Hello Baby training offered to all members of the health visitors team
• Communication champion in each setting. Cluster meetings 3 times per year
• Support to work towards communication friendly environments/settings
• Individual support and advice from the commissioned speech and language therapy service
• Speech and Language UK training in Early Talk and Early Talk Boost
• Early years professional development 
• Training in use of WellComm Assessment tool
• Support from an early years advisory teacher via the Better Start team
• Monthly surgery in setting
• Early Years settings offered support related to work force development
• Makaton training via NHS speech and language therapist payable by settings

Targeted 

• Referral to specialist health visitor for Perinatal and Infant Relationship Service (PAIRS) for advice/support/training
• Access to advice for all children with identified delay, if triaged to setting support
• Access to Early Talk  and Early Talk Boost intervention training
• Single point of entry for multi-agency triage panel
• Practitioners to have access to key messages promoting positive interaction from the early years team, Communicate CIC and Better Start
• One funded NHS Makaton training place for staff, per child with identified need

Specialist

• Advice and support for the implementation of speech and language therapy targets within the setting
• Access to early years SEND advisory teacher support for children with complex speech, language and communication
• Advice about Alternative, Augmentative Communication (AAC) available through Highfurlong Communication Aids and Assistive Technology (CAAT) team
• Needs led training e.g. for stammering, selective mutism etc.
