Universal

Targeted 

  • Referral to specialist health visitor for Perinatal and Infant Relationship Service (PAIRS) for advice/support/training
  • Access to advice for all children with identified delay, if triaged to setting support
  • Access to Early Talk  and Early Talk Boost intervention training
  • Single point of entry for multi-agency triage panel
  • Practitioners to have access to key messages promoting positive interaction from the early years team, Communicate CIC and Better Start
  • One funded NHS Makaton training place for staff, per child with identified need

Specialist

  • Advice and support for the implementation of speech and language therapy targets within the setting
  • Access to early years SEND advisory teacher support for children with complex speech, language and communication
  • Needs led training e.g. for stammering, selective mutism etc.
  • Acces to further information on alternative, augmentative communication (AAC) through the ACE Centre.
