These are some of the groups for young people and adults where they can be part of having a voice for young people with SEND in Blackpool.
Youth Empowerment forum
The Forum is for young people aged 13 to 25.
- Do you want your voice to be heard?
- Do you want to help us make decisions?
The young empowerment forums make positive changes to services in Blackpool for other people with SEND. The group meets twice a school term in one of our Blackpool schools.
We do all sorts of exciting work in our meetings, and out and about in the town. The YEF help hire staff for the council and the hospital, develop resources for children and young people, train professionals, and more!
If you would like to join our group, and/or are a professional keen to get some of your SEND children and young people involved, please contact the children’s engagement lead on the details below.
