May 2022 - Blackpool Central development - Seasider's Way closure to Central Car Park
Changes to access
Due to the necessary closure of Seasiders Way at Chapel Street, the Central Car Park coach station will only be available for scheduled services from 16 May .
Scheduled services are recommended to exit Seasiders Way at the Bloomfield Road junction, as shown on the map below, and proceed on to Central Drive. The coach station will only be accessible from Central Drive and after turning within the coach station area, vehicles will also leave on to Central Drive. Vehicles will have a choice exiting left or right on to Central Drive, depending which is most convenient.
If you are intending to run a scheduled service into the Blackpool coach station during 2022, please let the council know on the contact number below and your service will be facilitated. Your services into our resort are very important to us.
All other operators and services will be accommodated in the northern end of the Foxhall Car and Coach Park – which many already use. If this facility becomes full, further coach parking will be available at the Seasiders Way (where public toilets are available) and the South Car Park.
Please note that for town centre drop off and layover, a signage scheme will take you to the Banks Street Coach and Car Park adjacent to Dickson Road. Parking staff will ensure that sufficient space is available in these areas, as regular visitors will be aware. Pedestrian routes will be signed from these drop off points.

Free coach parking
The new multi-storey car park will facilitate a new and vibrant visitor attraction for Blackpool. It means that the restricted access to Central Car Park will be in place for the entire 2022 season, following which they will be reviewed as the site is developed in phases.
For the remainder of this year, 72 hours of free parking will be available for coaches on Blackpool Council owned car parks through the Pay by Phone app.

Seasiders Way opening hours
Seasiders Way car park will no longer be open 24 hours per day. It will close at 11.00 pm daily and reopen 7.00 am.
*Seasiders Way is marked with dual-purpose bays and during “peak” visitor times (at the duty supervisor’s discretion) the vehicle type may be set to “cars only” or coaches only”. No mixed parking is allowed. Motorhomes can also use coach bays at this site whenever coaches are allowed on.
**South car park is primarily for car use and height-barriers are in operation. Coach bays on this site will only be available during “peak” visitor times (at the duty supervisor’s discretion) to cope with extra demand. Motorhomes can also use coach bays at this site whenever coaches are allowed on.
