On 3 May 2022 Blackpool Council gave approval to proceed with the consultation and development of an Enhanced Partnership. The commencement of this was confirmed through the Notice of Intention to prepare an Enhanced Partnership Plan and accompanying Enhanced Partnership Scheme, as required and set out in section 138F of the Transport Act 2000.

The Enhanced Partnership is an agreement between Blackpool Council and the bus operating companies providing services in Blackpool made under section 138 of the Transport Act 2000 (as amended).
