Notice of commencement

  • When you start work on site you will require a site inspection from our Inspector and this maybe prior to reaching the stage of submitting this form. Please call us to book an inspection when you start work on site.

    This formal commencement notice below, is to be submitted to Building Control, within 5 days of work being regarded as commenced, under regulation 15 of The Building Regulations etc. (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2023.

    Regulation 46A sets out the construction requirement for works to be deemed commenced but in summary

    For complex buildings - Foundations are constructed, and the structure of the lowest floor level is complete.

    For new buildings and horizontal extensions - Sub surface of the building or the extension including all foundations and the structure of the ground floor level is completed

    For all other works – constructed 15% of the overall work.
