Tree Preservation Order: The Blackpool Borough Council (192 Preston Old Road, Blackpool, FY3 9QY) Tree Preservation Order 2021/51.

THIS IS A FORMAL NOTICE to let you know that on 17th February 2021 Blackpool Borough Council made the above tree preservation order.

A copy of the order is enclosed along with a plan showing the protected trees. No person is now permitted to cut down, top or lop the trees the subject of the order without permission from the Council.

The Order has been made on the basis of the advice of the Council’s Head of Parks and Greens.  It is felt that the trees are of sufficient public amenity value to warrant protection in the interest of the quality of the streetscene.

The order came into force, on a temporary basis, on 17th February 2021, and will remain in force for six months. During this time the Council will decide if the order should be given permanent status. People affected by the order have a right to object or make comment before the order is confirmed. The decision on whether or not to confirm the order must be made within 6 months of the date of the order. If you would like to make any objections or comments, please make sure we receive them in writing by 24th March 2021. Your comments must meet Regulation 6 of the Town and Country Planning (Tree Preservation) (England)) Regulations 2012 (a copy is attached).  Please send your comments to Miss Susan Parker, Head of Development Management, Blackpool Council, PO Box 17, Municipal Buildings, Corporation Street, Blackpool, FY1 1LZ. All comments received will be taken into account as part of the Council’s assessment as to whether the order should be confirmed or not. The Council will write to you again once a decision has been made.
