Local planning authorities are required by legislation to prepare and keep up to date a Local Development Scheme (LDS) to provide a timetable for the preparation of a local plan and any other local development documents (LDDs).
The LDS has to be publically available so that local communities and interested parties can keep track of local plan progress.
