Introduction
The Greening Blackpool Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) provides more detailed guidance on the council’s green infrastructure requirements in new developments within Blackpool.
The council’s aim is to ensure that all residents have access to sufficient, good quality public open space, and to ensure that developments provide green infrastructure to improve biodiversity, environmental quality and the appearance of Blackpool.
The SPD supports and expands upon the provisions of adopted Core Strategy Policy CS6 and Local Plan Part 2 Policies DM21 and DM35.
