The Greening Blackpool Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) was adopted by Blackpool Council on 24 March 2025.
The SPD provides guidance on the requirements for green infrastructure in developments in Blackpool, including conversions. It explains why green infrastructure is required and how it should be delivered, expanding on planning policy in the Blackpool Local Plan.
Any person aggrieved by the decision to adopt the SPD may apply to the High Court for permission to apply for judicial review of that decision. Any such application must be made promptly and in any event not later than three months after the date on which the SPD was adopted.
