Co-production workshop
Co-production the Blackpool way
Blackpool continues to strengthen its approach to co-production, placing collaboration at the heart of how we design and deliver services.
As a key stakeholder in our town, we’re pleased to invite you to a co-production workshop, co-facilitated with community members who have lived experience of Blackpool’s services and systems. This session is not only about learning but also about shaping our shared way forward, influenced by your experiences and insights.
Aims and objectives
To help embed a whole-town approach to co-production, this workshop aims to build a shared understanding of what Co-production looks like in practice. Together, we will explore:
- What is co-production?
- Why co-production matters
- How to do it well – exploring challenges, key factors for success, and examples of good practice
- Next steps for embedding co-production across Blackpool
We’ll share real-life examples of co-production in action, celebrate successes, and offer practical tools to support your work. Most importantly, this will be a space to connect, reflect, and build strong relationships that support a co-produced Blackpool.
If you're interested in hosting a workshop, attending a session, or co-producing a bespoke training event with us, we’d love to hear from you.

Co-production community of practice
Blackpool is committed to developing a whole-town approach to co-production — where services are designed and delivered in partnership with the people who use them.
To support this, we have launched a co-production community of practice: a space for people across Blackpool to come together, share learning, and grow co-production in practice.
What is a community of practice?
A community of practice is a group of people who share a common interest, in this case, co-production and who come together regularly to:
- Share experiences and learning
- Reflect on challenges and successes
- Explore new ideas and approaches
- Support one another in embedding co-production into everyday work
It is an open, welcoming space where people can learn from each other and develop confidence in working co-productively.
Who is it for?
The community of practice is for:
- Professionals across services and sectors
- People with lived experience of using services
- Community organisations and voluntary sector colleagues
- Anyone interested in making co-production part of how we work in Blackpool
Whether you’re just starting out or have experience in co-production, your contribution is welcome.
Our approach
The community of practice is facilitated by Blackpool co-production team, but shaped by the people who attend. It’s about creating a shared space for learning, reflection, and improvement, grounded in real experience.
By working together in this way, we aim to build a shared understanding of what co-production means in Blackpool and how we can make it a core part of the way we work.
