You can make a representation against an application for a new premises licence/club certificate or a variation of an existing licence/club certificate within 28 days of the application being submitted.

For problems with premises that are already licensed - when other attempts to resolve the problem have failed - an application can be made to the council for a review of that licence.

Licences and applications can be viewed on our public licensing register. If you require any further details about an application please contact us.

Representations and reviews must be relevant to one of the four licensing objectives:

  • Prevention of crime and disorder
  • Public safety
  • Prevention of public nuisance
  • Protection of children from harm
