If you wish to make changes to your premises licence, such as to include further licensable activities or alter the operating times,  you can apply to vary your licence.

There is a 28 day consultation period when you apply to vary a premises licence.

If no objections are received at the end of this period the application will be granted and your licence will normally be issued within 10 working days.

Some very small changes to your licence can be made on a minor variation application.

Apply to vary your premises licence

Please read the guidance notes [PDF 165KB] before applying – this gives information about the application procedure including requirements for submitting plans, advertising the application, the requirement to serve the application on each of the responsible authorities and the fees.

Download and complete the premises licence variation application form [PDF 171KB]. The form should be accompanied by the correct fee and a plan of your premises if the layout is changing.

You will also need to return your current premises licence and summary.

Alternatively you can apply online.

Objections

If valid objections have been received by the end of the 28 day consultation period, the Licensing Committee will hold a hearing and will decide to either grant all or part of the application with or without conditions, or refuse the application.

You will be advised of the date and time of the hearing and provided with further information and guidance in relation to it.
