The closing date was the 15 January 2026. It is not possible now to apply online. 

Paper applications - late applications

To apply for a reception place for admission in September 2026 after the closing date, you can complete a paper application form. It will be classed as a late application. The form can be obtained by contacting us by email schoolaccess@blackpool.gov.uk or telephone 01253 476637

Would you like to help give your child the best start to their school journey?

The Blackpool Family Hubs are delivering Better Start’s fun and free ready steady school sessions from now until the end of the summer holidays, every week.

Enjoy play, rhymes, stories and games that focus on supporting the development of Blackpool’s nine school ready priorities.

These fun sessions have been developed with local schools and nurseries and been proven to support and quick and happy transition to school.

There is no need to book, just turn up. 

Important information

Children who attend a nursery that is attached to a school or academy do not automatically move into reception. 

Attendance at a nursery is  not  taken into consideration when places in the reception classes are being allocating. 

You can find the criteria that is used for allocating places in reception classes in the guide for parents booklet or on the school/academy's website. A link to the guide is in the additional information section on this page.  A paper copy can be obtained from the school admissions team.
