About Justuz

Justuz is made up of three seperate groups. Members have the chance to get together with other children and young people who share similar experiences of being in care. It gives you the opportunity to tell us what you think about the support and care you receive and how we can make things better for you and all the other children and young people who are cared for by Blackpool. There is always food and fun stuff to do! 

There are different groups that you could be part of...

JUSTUZ Children in our care council                          

For young people aged 11 to 16 years

We meet up on 3rd Wednesday of every month at The Core, Corporation Street, Blackpool  4.00pm to 7.00pm. Find out more about Justuz CiCC.

JUSTUz Extra - Care Leavers Council

The Care Leavers Council for young people aged 16+

We meet up on the 1st Thursday of every month 4.00pm to 6.00pm at The Core, Corporation Street,Blackpool

JUSTUZ JUNIORS

For children aged 4 to 10 years

We meet up once every 8 weeks to do a fun activity. Find out more about Justuz Juniors.

JOIN US 

We are always looking for new and enthusiastic members to join us. We appreciate you may be a little nervous before your first session, but please don't be. Our members are very welcoming and friendly; plus the Participation Team, Kirsty and Leanne will be on hand to introduce you to everyone and make sure you are ok. You can also ask your social worker or IRO to bring you for the 1st time.

As a thank you for all the hard work and commitment to Justuz, members get to do some fab stuff such as laser tag, bowling, outdoor activities, group meals and ice skating to name a few.

There is also a yearly activity weekend which usually take place in September. Everyone has a really great time and comes together as group. We get to do fun things such as canoeing, climbing, archery. We have camp fires at night and toast marshmallows. It really is a briilaint weekend and a highlight of our year.
