Notice of making the EP plan and scheme

Notice that Blackpool Borough Council has made an Enhanced Partnership Plan And Scheme pursuant to Section 138 G (5) The Transport Act 2000

Notice is hereby given by Blackpool Borough Council (“the council”), being the appropriate local transport authority, obtained executive approval on 7 November 2022 to delegate the making of an Enhanced Partnership (Plan and Scheme to the director of communications and regenerations. On the 15 December 2022 the director of communications and regeneration made an Enhanced Partnership Plan and Scheme without modification.

This notice relates to making of an Enhanced Partnership Plan and an associated Enhanced Partnership Scheme.

The enhanced partnership is an agreement between the council and the bus operating companies providing services in Blackpool to set shared aims with regard to improving bus services.

Operators of qualifying local services were notified on 20 June 2022 of the draft plan and scheme. The period for objection expired at midday on 18 July 2022. No objections to the draft plan and scheme were obtained during this period.

Subsequent to consultation with local services further consultation was carried out with statutory consultees between 22 August 2022 and 20 September 2022.

Following this second period of consultation the council and pursuant to executive approval the council have made the EP plan and scheme without modification.
