Blackpool Council would like to use your image/the image of your child to help publicise and promote the council and its services. To comply with the relevant data protection regulations we need your permission to do this. Once permission is given the images will be kept securely and may be used for up to 5 years.

These images may be used for social media, press releases, promotional videos, internal Blackpool council publications and informative educational videos. They may also be shared with trusted partners.

If you wish to withdraw consent for use of your image, you can contact the council via Parks@blackpool.gov.uk to inform us. When we receive
your notification we will cease to use your image but we may not be able to delete or recall use where this has already been published.

Why do we collect your information?

Your information will be used to provide the ranger service with emergency contacts and medical information should something happen to your child while at one of our sessions. We will also use the information to evaluate the service and, we will retain statistical records of how many people have used this service but we will anonymise your information when we create the statistics.

What is our lawful basis?

The lawful basis for the council to collect and use your personal information is because:

• It is necessary for the council to perform a task in the public interest or whilst conducting its official functions, and the task or function has a clear basis in law.

The relevant statute that underpins the processing is;

• Childcare Act 2006 section 1 and 3

What types of information do we collect?

When you attend a park ranger session we will collect your name, address and contact phone number and email as well as your child's name and date of birth, gender and relevant medical information.

Who do we share your information with?

Your information will be used by the parks development service to provide services in your neighbourhood. Occasionally we will share your information with partner's agencies to provide integrated services. We will share your information with others if we are required to do so by law.
