As a public body we are required to carry out and publish assessments on all policies, services and functions as part of the Equality Act 2010.
We use equality analysis (formerly Equality Impact Assessments) to ensure that equality, social inclusion and community cohesion issues are considered when drawing up policies or proposals which affect the delivery of services, the carrying out of the council’s functions and the employment practice of the authority.
