These are some of the social activities available for young people and adults with SEND in Blackpool.

 

The Boathouse Youth

The Boathouse Youth (BHY) is a youth charity working with children and young people who are facing disadvantages, mainly deprivation. All services and activities provided are free of charge. The BHY provide youth club facilities, educational and recreational activities. Programmes include:

  •  Pathway: A nurturing service providing children with complex needs with therapeutic & holistic activities in a supportive environment.
  • HAF: Providing activities during school holidays such as rock climbing, magic shows, sports, games, and inflatables etc.

 The BHY have two locations, in the Bloomfield ward and the Grange Park estate.

TramShed Theatre Company

TramShed is an inclusive theatre company and registered charity offering inclusive performing arts to children, young people and adults across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. We deliver inclusive music, dance and drama on a weekly basis, both face to face and digitally, and reach out to local and wider communities through a variety of outreach and inclusive training programmes. We have no exclusions or limitations and encourage anyone who has an interest in the arts to get involved. We are unique to the local area.

No referral but attendees must apply for places - Application form on website or call/email. Based at Woodland's school. 

£50 per term 12 weeks in advance of 1st workshop.

The Play Inclusion Project (PIP)

Blackpool Activity Club is open to children and young people aged 8-18 with complex to severe additional needs and/or disabilities. Referrals are by social workers only.

Every school holiday from 10.00am to3.00pm,  £15 per session 

Weekend club every Saturday from10.00am to3.00pm,  £15 per session
