Our return to reuse equipment scheme collects and recycles unused equipment and daily living aids that have been provided by Blackpool Equipment Service.
The scheme aims to give residents several ways of returning the items they no longer use so they can be restored and then reused helping minimise waste.
The items that can be dropped off are:
- Wheeled rollators and walkers
- Standing and transfer/turning aids,
- Perching stools, dining walking trolleys
- Mattress elevators, bed rails
- Pressure relieving aids – gel cushions, wedges, inflatable cushions, mattresses, heel protectors
- Mobile commodes, shower commode chairs
- Swivel bath seats, shower chairs
- Seating, chair raisers
Unfortunately we can’t accept any electrical or powered items or anything that has been hired.
Please see a full list of items that we accept
How to donate equipment
Residents can drop their items off:
- At the ‘Tip Shop’ seven days a week between 11.00am and 3.00pm at the Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC), Bristol Avenue, Bispham
- Through a Rover collection. The mobile tip operates Monday to Friday across Blackpool
If you are unable to access the Tip or Rover or are unsure what items can be accepted contact Blackpool Equipment Service on 01253 476667 or email equipment@bch.co.uk
For higher value items it may be possible to arrange a collection from your home including electrical, powered or hired equipment.
