General restrictions

Please bring proof of address with you when you visit the site to make sure, you're not turned away
  • Commercial waste is not allowed. Businesses have a duty of care and must have a registered waste carrier disposing of their waste at a registered waste disposal facility
  • Vans, pickups and cars towing trailers will need to purchase a permit and other vehicles will not be allowed on site, so it is recommended you check the permit scheme list before visiting the tip
  • Some materials are not allowed to be brought onto the site, and you may need a permit to dispose of others so before you visit the tip it is recommended you check the waste restrictions list.
  • Vans and trailers must attend the site no later than 30 minutes before the site closes, or they will be turned away

  • No single item should be more than 200cmx75cmx70cm
  • Amounts are based on the property where the waste is produced, not the vehicles used to transport it. This means that several vehicles from the same address cannot make multiple visits to site. Photo ID and a matching proof of address must be presented at the site office before any DIY waste will be accepted
  • Depositing DIY waste at this site is only available for residents who are doing small scale DIY projects. Anyone doing large renovation work should use other registered means to dispose of their construction waste such as hiring a skip, using a licensed removal company, or taking their waste to a licensed waste site

Private waste contractors

If you choose to use a private waste collector to get rid of any rubbish, you have a legal duty to check that the person or business is a registered waste carrier.

If you don’t check, you could be fined if your rubbish is found to be illegally dumped somewhere. You can check their vehicle registration online.
