Abs Blast

Designed to target your torso working all aspects of the abs and back,sculpting your abs into shape and strengthening your core, which is the key to your overall strength.

Body Combat

A high energy martial arts inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness and burn up to 740 calories in a class. No experience needed. Learn moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu. Release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ. Bring your best fighter attitude and leave inhibitions at the door. 

Body Pump

The original LES MILLS barbell class, will sculpt, tone and strengthen your entire body, fast! Focusing on low weight loads and high repetition movements, you'll burn fat, gain strength and quickly produce lean body muscle conditioning. One of the world's fastest ways to get in shape as it challenges all of your major muscle groups while you squat, press, lift and curl.


Boost your cardiovascular fitness and increase muscle tone with these outdoor sessions, making the most of the natural landscape surrounding our facilities. Theses classes are high in intensity and will take place outdoors in almost all weather.


A boxing based full body workout. Train like a boxer to burn calories as well as gaining strength and agility. This is a class that really packs a punch.


A fast-paced class in which you do one exercise for 30 seconds to 2 minutes and then move on to another exercise. An excellent way to improve fitness, mobility, strength and stamina. Suitable for everyone as you can work at your own pace and all exercises are adaptable to the individual.

Gently Does It

Exercise to Music to develop strength, flexibility, stamina and co-ordination. These classes are suitable for the older participant, men and women and also those who are new to exercise. These classes are friendly and fun.

HiiT and Intro to HiiT

A 30 minute attack on fat! High Intensity Interval Training classes are designed to work you hard and maximise your workout in just 30 minutes. These fun and intense classes will increase fat loss, burn more calories and increase cardiovascular fitness levels.


A cardio class, based on max interval training. This class will push you past your limits with athletic/plyometric drills mixed with intervals of strength, power, resistance and core training. No equipment or weights needed. You don't have to be in extreme shape-levels of each exercise are provided. Time to dig deep!


A high-intensity, ballistic workout guaranteed to make you sweat! Swing, press or clean your way to muscles of steel. It is the ultimate momentum-based workout that develops cardiovascular conditioning, power and agility.

Liquid Classes Aqua

These classes cater for all ages and and abilities. The Shallow classes are ideal for those who aren't confident in deep water and prefer to keep their hair dry. Liquid Bootcamp and Jogging classes are high in intensity but low on impact, providing an excellent workout whilst keeping the strain off your joints.


A system of controlled exercises that engage the mind and condition the total body. The blend of strength and flexibility training improves posture, reduces stress and creates long, lean muscles without bulking up.


A non-stop cardio fusion of standing Pilates, Boxing and Dance. The programme blends the power, speed and agility of boxing with the targeted sculpting and flexibility of Pilates. Add to that exhilarating dance moves and you have a muscle-toning, fat-burning workout that will make you feel physically and mentally empowered!

Power Hoop

A new and exciting fitness concept using a weighted hoop. Slim your waist and strengthen the muscles in your abdomen and lower back. Improve core stability and tone the muscles in your stomach, bottom, hips and thighs. Never 'hooped' before? Don't let that put you off as the large diameter hoops are easy to use.

Run Fit

A full body athletic and functional workout. A combination of low-impact high intensity moves and challenging athletic training drills using minimal equipment. This class will utilise the facilities both inside and outside of Blackpool Sports Centre. Get fit for running or for your sport.

Throughout the winter, to provide a varied experience, sessions are held both in the Fitness Studio and on the indoor running track. As the better weather approaches, the sessions will gravitate to the great outdoors in and around Stanley Park, incorporating the fantastic trail route situated there, providing another unique fitness experience.

Spin and Indoor Cycling


Regardless of how fit, flexible or coordinated you are, you'll get a great workout. Simply hop on your bike, set the resistance to the level that's right for you, and let your instructor guide you through an incredible ride.

Thighs, Bums and Tums

Tone and shape the lower body with a low impact aerobic session incorporating fantastic toning exercises for those problem areas.


Ancient form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. This class will combat stress, tone your muscles, increase flexibility, stimulate your nervous system and help to correct your posture.

Zumba Gold®

An easy to follow program that lets you move to the beat at your own speed.  Try this fun and invigorating dance class using Latin and international music.  Zumba Gold® classes provide modified, low-impact moves for active older adults.


Forget the workout, just lose yourself in the music and find yourself in shape at the original dance-fitness party. Zumba® classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating!
