Blackpool community sports awards

Blackpool community sports awards return to the Blackpool Winter Gardens on Thursday 6 June 2019. The awards are an opportunity to recognise, celebrate and take time out to reflect on the role that sport plays from the grassroots to the elite, for so many within our community.

Throughout Blackpool sport plays a pivotal role in not only helping people become active and lead healthy lifestyles, but it also inspires, nurtures, teaches and develops individuals.

The awards recognise volunteers who have delivered amazing service and opportunities in the community, those that ensure the pitch is ready, that their sport happens and that the club runs efficiently.

It will recognise some of our talented young individuals, who are working so hard to achieve their ambitions. It will recognise coaches who give so much time and dedication to ensure the athletes can be the best they can, regardless if they take part recreationally or at an elite level.

We also recognise some of the outstanding work that sport is doing in our schools, helping to create happy healthy lifestyles too.
