Community sports programme
We know that school holidays can be a challenging time for Blackpool children and their families, especially for those that are on free school meals.
We also know that evidence suggests that attending extracurricular activities can have a positive impact on children's educational, health and wellbeing outcomes.
The Blackpool Opportunity Area is funding summer holiday activities and food for Blackpool's children and young people. These will take place in five locations across the town and will include a range of activities including sports, arts and crafts and various other activities. Best of all it's completely free!
Sport Blackpool sports coaches will be delivering multi-sports at all five locations. Booking details can be found by contacting each centre directly. All sessions are for children aged 5 - 11 years
The five locations are:
- Talbot and Brunswick Children's Centre
- Mereside Boys and Girls Club
- Claremont Magic Club
- Bancroft Park
Sport Blackpool are taking bookings for the sessions at Bancroft Park. For more information, please contact Martin.Hibberd@blackpool.gov.uk
